HEALTH SAFETY & SECURITY
Beaufort House Guest safety is paramount to us.
The property has a Fire Suppression System and a Smoke Alarm system which are tested monthly by an independent qualified person (IQP).
Beaufort House maintains an annual Building Warrant of Fitness (WOF), the certificate is displayed in the entrance. A Fire Safety Plan is displayed in all guest bedrooms. Guests have lockable bedroom doors.
Guests are advised on check in of the Akaroa Volunteer Fire Brigade siren, why it occurs and that it can be heard at any time. The Fire Brigade are called to medical events, fires and road accidents on the Peninsula. An emergency medical event may incur the arrival of the WESTPAC Helicopter to transport a patient to Christchurch Hospital.
Akaroa has a new Medical Centre which is staffed 24/7 and guests made aware of its location.
Beaufort House has four external security cameras on the property. Akaroa is a very safe seaside town with a great sense of community. Offstreet car parking is available for all guest vehicles. As onsite owners we implement daily safety checks.
