‘Outstanding in every way’

A place to pamper yourself in Akaroa!

This is such a lovely property. The rooms are tastefully decorated (I was in the Shepherd room) and well stocked, breakfast options are plentiful plus cocktail hour was absolutely delicious. It provided a great opportunity to converse with the other guests outside of breakfast. Sharon and Noel are the ultimate hosts — she also helped devise an earlier return shuttle for me, I was so grateful!

An elegant place to stay in a charming town.

What wonderful hosts! We felt so welcomed and we loved the garden and the interior of the house. We felt like we were in an English manor. The breakfast was exceptional with Sharon fixing it one morning and Noel the second morning we were there. Loved the conversation at happy hour too!

If I could give 6 stars out of 5, I absolutely would. Truly genuine people and a wonderful host couple. The breakfast was exceptional, and the welcome we received was something really special. You can feel the care and authenticity in every detail — a memorable stay that I warmly recommend.

Fantastic!

Absolutely one of the most amazing places I have stayed. The hosts Noel and Sharon were incredibly friendly and hospitable and really made you feel comfortable, and the room had everything you needed and more. In addition, the garden is also equipped with several small seating areas from which you can enjoy the beautiful garden.

Exceptional Kiwi hospitality.

Our hosts, Noel and Sharon, assisted by Bev, were so welcoming, and the initial tour and introduction was interesting and helpful. We loved meeting the other guests over drinks and canapés. The breakfast was truly outstanding and the dining room and table setting was inspirational. I hope we’ll be back!

Location was perfect. Close to Akaroa centre but far enough away in order to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and ambience of the beautiful house. Hosts were exceptionally welcoming. The evening drinks and canapés proved to be wonderful, relaxed and informal. Nice to meet other travellers. Bedroom was well equipped, very nice toiletries. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding.

Charming spacious home and the owners love meeting people. Sharon was a great source of my local recommendation and lively conversations. Breakfasts could be customized by Sharon, but even just the usual croissants or toast with a fruit compote made for a suitable light breakfast for us.

Staying at the Beaufort House felt like staying with dear family members. Sharon and Noel took such good care of us, we felt so loved! They were always anticipating our needs and going the extra mile to make it a memorable and wonderful experience. The breakfast spread feels like you woke up and landed in a fairy tale! Make sure you try one of Noel’s famous omelettes. The afternoon happy hours are filled with delicious bites and fascinating conversation. The overall ambience is magical and the experience is so much more than just a bed to sleep in. This was by far our favourite accommodation in all of New Zealand!

The house is absolutely stunning. Every room is so special and the amount of care that Sharon and Noel put in to the space shows! As a couple who travels a ton, this place will always be remembered. Thank you for being so welcoming and exceptional hosts. We received wonderful restaurant recommendations and ideas for things to do around town. The breakfast was mind blowing. The wine and canapés for happy hour were great and it was so much fun to get to know the other guests as well as hear more about Noel and Sharon’s life in Akaroa. You will not find a better place to stay, definitely our favourite stay in all of New Zealand!

Incredibly beautiful house, beautiful garden. The hosts just thought of everything. Furnished like a stately villa, fantastic breakfast and in the evening a welcome board with delicious appetizers and wine. Incredibly friendly far-traveled hosts and international guests meeting and getting to know each other in the evening and at the shared breakfast. Not a cheap treat but worth every penny. Great recommendation. A must if you are going to Akaroa!!!

Luxury B&B in Akaroa This is a luxury B&B and the hosts spoil you very much. The accommodation is in a stylishly furnished old Villa with a great garden. Our room was big and bright. It is absolutely quiet and peaceful. The morning meal is an experience in itself and served at a beautifully laid table. Lots of treats, a large selection of fresh fruits and a delicious hot morning meal. In the early evening, guests are invited to the apéro. We would book again immediately.

The best B&B you will ever experience!! Fantastic B&B. The host couple is absolutely fantastic. Serves wine and canapes at 6pm. Breakfast is eaten together at 8am with everything the heart desires.

Sharron & Noel went that extra mile to make our holiday extra special. The historical home was set in romantic gardens – trees 160 years old – native birds. Loved sitting under the veranda taking coffee with home baking. The breakfast was a dream berries, pastries and those amazing cooked breakfast. Our hosts had thought of everything to make our stay extra special.
